About the event

Mark Mupotsa-Russell, author of the acclaimed The Hitwoman’s Guide to Reducing Household Debt will be discussing his new book, The Wolf who Cried Boy with fellow writer, Madeleine Cleary (The Butterfly Women).

A completely different work from his debut, Mark’s new novel is told from the perspective of a six-year-old boy who sees the world around him in terms of fairytales. When news arrives that his grandma is gravely ill, Henry and his mum must take a road trip across the country, bringing them into the orbit of his estranged father. The result is an astoundingly original story by one of the most exciting new voices in Australian literature.
